OYOY Christmas elves

Beautiful Danish design (that’s redundant, isn’t it?) by OYOY, including those completely adorable Christmas elves in the last photo. Would love to have a set of those in my home.

If you like what you see here, you would also like ferm LIVING designs (European shop/websiteUS shop/website), which are equally beautiful.

Let’s hope OYOY designs come to the US soon (talking to you, Huset Shop!)

The About a Chair, designed by Danish designer Hee Welling for HAY, is both elegant and versatile. Available in colors (see them here, at Huset Shop) and in neutrals. I love the coral chair pictured in the first photo above.

Favorites: Colorful, Compact Children’s Bedroom

What I like about this Danish children’s bedroom:

1) Between the bunk bed, the desk and the shelves, it maximizes the small space beautifully

2) The Ferm Living wallpaper paired with that lovely yellow desk

Kobenstyle at Crate and Barrel

Dansk Kobenstyle available at Crate and Barrel

Do I need a black Dansk® Kobenstyle casserole dish (the lid is a built in trivet!)? No. Do I want one? Most definitely.

Crate and Barrel is now offering four Kobenstyle pans: 6 qt and 4 qt casserole dishes, a baking dish, and a butter warmer. In black, white or red. But you have to go with the black, right? I love the black.

The enameled steel oven-to-table dishes were designed back in 1956 by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk® and have come in many colors over the years. For fun, I found a few photos for you. Both Etsy and eBay, by the way, are good sources to buy pieces for your collection:

Kobenstyle in blue green and yellow

Etsy shop: Blueflower Vintage

Do you own any Kobenstyle?

Inside the Home of a Danish Design Icon

These photos are from the Gentofe, Denmark home of Danish designer Børge Mogensen (1914–1972). His widow Alice preserved the home until her (recent) death. Before the house was put up for sale, Bo Bedre magazine was invited to document it. Isn’t it stunning? Truly an inspiration.
