Hiya! Happy 2013! I’m so happy to be back here, although I must admit that I feel a little rusty.
I have lots of ideas swirling around in my head about things to share on Charlotte’s Fancy this year. One thing I know for sure, though: I want this year to be as pretty as possible.
Yvonne Eijkenduijn of the Yvestown blog has the most impeccable taste. For me, these photos of her light-filled home are pretty much perfection – from the tree and ornaments, to the candles on the mantle (love that neon pink taper), and the ferm LIVING pink wire basket.
So gorgeous. I had to share.

You know what I like about this pretty home near Malmö, Sweden? It looks comfortable and friendly – and lived in and loved. And real.
And how about that view of the church?
I especially like the living room (the couch, pillows and artwork are so welcoming) and the bedroom (the spare white room + mint green pillow combination is soft and pretty).
These photos are from a real estate listing, and in case you’re curious like me, I converted the price into US dollars: it’s listed for about $404,000.
See a few more photos on the Bolaget website.

If I ever take the plunge with wallpaper, it will be with Orla Kiely wallpaper. I am especially fond of the Multi-Stem design (1st and 7th photos) and the Abacus design (2nd photo) which I have seen on the walls of the Orla Kiely store in NYC. They are striking in person, particularly the Abacus design.
See the Harlequin website for more Orla Kiely patterns, plus so much more home inspiration – wallpaper, fabric and just plain gorgeous interiors. You could daydream all day about the lovely images on their website. (Consider yourself warned!)

Beautiful Danish design (that’s redundant, isn’t it?) by OYOY, including those completely adorable Christmas elves in the last photo. Would love to have a set of those in my home.
If you like what you see here, you would also like ferm LIVING designs (European shop/website, US shop/website), which are equally beautiful.
Let’s hope OYOY designs come to the US soon (talking to you, Huset Shop!)

I’m off for a few days of celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. I will see you back here next week!
Spotted this cross stitch peg board coat rack in the Beci Orpin feature in the current issue of Mollie Makes. (Beci is a well-known Australian artist). I love this idea. It reminds me of Aesthetic Outburst’s embroidered screen door.

The About a Chair, designed by Danish designer Hee Welling for HAY, is both elegant and versatile. Available in colors (see them here, at Huset Shop) and in neutrals. I love the coral chair pictured in the first photo above.

I just love this photo. And if Country Road were a store in the US, I would spend all of my money there. See their new summer tableware collection and so much more on their website.
