Giveaway! 2013 Egg Press + Blue Sky Calendars

Egg Press and Blue Sky collaboration

Egg Press and Blue Sky have teamed up again for the third year to offer a range of calendars that are primarily available at Target stores (not online), and there’s a smaller selection on the Blue Sky website. Egg Press is easily one of my favorite letterpress printers, and it’s nice to see their designs continue to reach a wider audience.

I scoped out some the designs/sizes for those of you who still need a 2013 calendar.

Egg Press and Blue Sky calendars

The large, 22″ x 17″ dots calendar is designed as a deskpad calendar (does anyone still have a desk blotter?), but I plan to tear off each month – it’s perforated – and post it to my fridge to keep my family organized. It’s definitely my favorite because the size really suits my needs.

The 15″ x 12″ spring flowers wall calendar with spiral binding would work just as well to organize your family  – plenty of space to note your appointments, birthdays and other calendar entries.

The 11″ x 14″ art calendar is really elegant. It’s the kind of calendar that you don’t want to write on (although there’s room to jot notes). You just want to enjoy how pretty it looks on your wall.

And the 5″ x 8″ planner with the roses design and orange cover is cute and super convenient – small enough to carry in your bag, but big enough to be able to read your handwriting! (The orange is a bit darker than it appears in this photo,)

These are just four, but there are several more designs in varying sizes/formats. You have to make a visit to Target to find them and hope that they’re not sold out – or you could snatch up one of the designs on the Blue Sky website.

OR, you can hope to win one from me! I’m offering the 5″ x 8″ planner and the art calendar to two lucky winners.

Popularity Contest

dyed doilies

Today, by chance, I ran across the mother lode of the right kind of doilies (i.e. Royal Lace brand) for dyeing – the ones that are lace throughout and don’t have a solid paper middle – which aren’t easy to find in local craft shops.

Since this blog post on how to dye paper doilies and a follow up post with tips for dyeing doilies are among my most popular posts, I want to give thanks by offering a pack of the doilies to one of my readers.

To win, please leave me a comment below, telling me what you plan to do with the dyed doilies, and I will randomly draw a winner. The deadline is Friday, April 27th at 5:00 pm (EST). This giveaway is open to everyone and is not limited to just the United States.

Thanks for reading Charlotte’s Fancy. I am grateful you’re here.

Egg Press Winners!

Egg Press Blue Sky Planners winners

Gwen and Sarah, please email your mailing addresses to charlottesfancy [at] gmail [dot] com.

For those of you who would like your own Egg Press/Blue Sky planner and you can’t find them at Target, you can also buy them directly from the Blue Sky website.

A couple of links to keep you company for the weekend:

How Children Give Parents the Power to Change (from the Evidence Based Mummy blog). I found this article to be so interesting and positive.

Ingredient Magazine is a new print magazine for kids ages 6 – 12 who are curious about food and interested in cooking. I’ve got one of those! She’s 7 and loves to help in the kitchen. Most of her Christmas presents revolved around cooking (cookbooks, apron, oven mitts, etc.), so I subscribed, and I’m looking forward to seeing our first issue.  (Via Ohdeedoh)

Happy weekend!

Egg Press for Blue Sky + Giveaway!

Egg Press calendars and planners for Blue Sky

Egg Press has recently released a collection of planners and calendars through Blue Sky, which is available at your local Target as well as the Blue Sky website.

I’ve received a few samples, and my favorite is the Blue X 8.5″ x 11″ weekly/monthly planner. I like the larger format planner (plenty of space to write down your appointments and birthdays and also to jot copious notes), but you may like the smaller planners (still with plenty of space to write) that fit more easily in your bag.

The desk calendar is cute too.

I noticed at my Target the other day that many of the calendars and planners were already sold, which is great news for Egg Press. I hope that people who are buying Egg Press/Blue Sky items are discovering Egg Press’ letterpress work, which is truly special.

I’m giving away Burst planners (see the two planners in the middle of the above photo) to two lucky winners. Both are 5 x 8″, one is casebound (blue) and one is spiral bound. Wanna throw your hat in the ring? (Of course you do!) Leave me a comment below by midnight on Thursday, and I will announce the winners on Friday.

Since I’m paying for the shipping costs, this is open to US and Canada addresses only.

Good luck!

Didn’t I say I was going to have a giveaway this week? Well, it’s time!

Who needs a 2011 calendar? I bet most of you do, which is great because my friend Emily Dumas, the talented designer behind Flowers in May, is offering two of her calendars to Charlotte’s Fancy readers. How great is that?

You might remember Emily’s fun prints, which I featured back in August – here’s my favorite
(I think – it’s really hard to choose a favorite!):

Paris, I Love You

Paris I Love You by Flowers in May

It feels like you’re going on a treasure hunt as you look at all of the little illustrations that make up each print. Her calendar is like that too.

Have a look:
