[Design Thursday] IMOGA Children’s Clothes

Last weekend, I fell in love with a few pieces of IMOGA children’s clothes, which I found at Tippy Toes in downtown Princeton (a totally adorable kids’ shoe store with a small collection of beautiful clothes). The founder of IMOGA, Haejung Chung, used to send gifts for her nieces signing them “i moga” or, “from auntie” in her native Korean. By the look of these designs – simple, elegant clothes with an Asian influence – I bet she gives great gifts!

(I saw this coat at Tippy Toes – it is SO gorgeous, so beautifully constructed).

You can take a look at the IMOGA collections on their website.

[Family Friday] School Supplies Flashback

Okay, enough about Spain. Today, I’m hitting the rewind button.

School starts in less than a month ’round these parts, and I’ve been remembering how much I used to love that back-to-school feeling, and how much I loved stocking up on new school supplies.

Did you have any of these school supplies too?

My Old School Supplies

Did you have the pencil box in blue? What color Trapper Keeper did you have? (Ok, I admit I never actually owned a Trapper Keeper.) Flourescent crayons were my favorite, and yes, I had that Smurfs lunchbox, which replaced my Peanuts lunch box (which you can see here – mine was red, though). Truth be told, I really wanted the red Tupperware lunchbox. Even in 4th grade, I appreciated its excellent design.

Good times.

Stayed tuned next week because the lovely and talented and charming Karin is filling in for me on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I know you’re secretly saying to yourself, “Amen.” Can’t say I blame you.

Happy weekend to everyone!

Yes, I Know It’s February.

I have been dreaming of the pool, our summer spot, for weeks now: loading up the cooler with sandwiches and fruit and snacks and beer and soda, throwing sunscreen and sunglasses and hats and towels into a tote bag, piling into the car, and finding a good table and chairs before the big afternoon crowd gets there.

Since I got the pool membership renewal in the mail yesterday, I figure that gives me permission to post the Mini Boden swimwear I am drooling over, despite the fact that the pool won’t open for what feels like an eternity three more months.

Jive Turkey Baby Hat

I have neither a baby nor a talent for knitting, but this hat completely cracks me up. I saw it first on the One Pretty Thing blog, which I really love, and the actual pattern comes from the goingcrafty blog.
