Hey Boo Boo! Let’s Get Us Some Pic-a-nic Baskets!

When was the last time your family had a little picnic? Has it been awhile? Because, you know, picnics are pretty fun, especially before the weather gets too hot. They are a lovely and worthwhile indulgence – like relaxing in a hammock.

You can have one on your lawn, on your living room floor (if the weather stinks), or maybe you need to pile into the car and drive to a pretty spot. We like to go to an arboretum where we eat our lunch, and then we take a hike and see bluebirds and grasshoppers and dragonflies.

And besides, it’s a great excuse to eat all of my favorite snacky foods, and then take a gluttonous nap on the picnic blanket.

We got a wicker picnic basket as a wedding gift that we drag out occasionally (more often than not, we just fill up a cooler and a tote bag). But don’t you think the time has come to replace it with this amazing picnic set by French Bull? We could use this at the pool all summer long.

And how cute is this half gallonĀ ice cream tote? Who cares if it’s largely impractical – it’s rainbow gingham!

And here’s one other stylish option – the Metro “Melrose” insulated basket for four.

It’s supposed to rain this weekend, but the next time we have a warm spring weekend, I’m heading to the arboretum…with my new French Bull picnic set.

Love those picnic baskets! I can just see us having a relaxing adult picnic while we listen to the orchestra! Would be a great wedding gift!

I was thinking it would make a great wedding gift too. Or, you know, a great anniversary present to myself! Ha!

I made a picnic basket by taking a plastic bag from Rite-Aid and throwing in a loaf of bread, a jar of Skippy and a knife. Voila. Pic-a-nic.
